In a recent incident during their visit to Italy, Gayatri Joshi, known for her role in the Bollywood film “Swades,” and her husband, Vikas Oberoi, found themselves in a harrowing car accident. Fortunately, both are safe and sound, despite the tragic nature of the incident. The accident occurred in Sardinia and was reportedly a multiple-car collision involving a Ferrari and a Lamborghini.
Tragically, a Swiss couple traveling in the Ferrari lost their lives when the high-end vehicle caught fire. It is believed that the collision took place as both the Lamborghini and the Ferrari attempted to overtake a camper van simultaneously, resulting in the Ferrari catching fire and the van overturning. The incident is said to have taken place during the Sardinia Supercar Tour, an event where luxury cars parade from Teulada to Olbia. Shockingly, video footage of the accident surfaced online shortly after.
Speaking to the Free Press Journal, Gayatri confirmed that she and her husband were “absolutely fine” following the accident. She expressed gratitude for their safety, saying, “With God’s grace, we both are absolutely fine.”
Gayatri Joshi, who won the Femina Miss India International title in 2000, made her acting debut alongside Shah Rukh Khan in the critically acclaimed film “Swades” in 2004. Despite receiving several accolades for her debut, she chose to step away from the film industry. In 2005, she tied the knot with businessman Vikas Oberoi, and the couple now has two children.
