Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan: Ayushmann Khurrana is all set to play a homosexual character

Ayushmann Khurrana who gave seven consecutive hits at the box office is now all set o present another unconventional story on the big screen, 'Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan' where he will be seen playing the role of a gay character.

2019 was quite the special year for the fans of Ayushmann Khurrana, as he starred in unique movies such as Bala,  Article 15 and Dream Girl. His films have done extremely well at the box office and in return, he is established as a bankable actor. Ayushmann in 2020 is all set to star in more such unique films and at a recent event, he spoke about his upcoming project, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan.

Ayushmann said, “A couple of movies are coming out next year. One is Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavhdhan’ in February after that ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ both are exciting. ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’ is more exciting because, as you know I am playing a gay guy. It a gay love story, this is the first time that we are going all out with a homosexual love story in the mainstream commercial Indian cinema. So it’s really exciting.” 

He also thanked his fans for all their love and support and also for showering loads of love to all his films in 2019. He said, “Thank you so much for all the love for all the three films this year – ‘Article 15’, ‘Dream Girl’ and of course ‘Bala’. Thank you!”

Just recently Ayushmann finished filming for Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, while the film also stars Ayushmann in the lead and Neena Gupta, Gajraj Rao will be seen playing his parents. We will also see Jitendra Kumar and Pankhuri Awasthy in a pivotal role in the film. Helmed by Hitesh Kewalya and produced by Aanand L. Rai and Bhushan Kumar Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan will hit theatres on February 21, 2020.
