Shibani Dandekar is up in arms with support for Rhea Chakraborty

In response to the hate campaign going against the Rhea Chakraborty by the Indian Media, close friend Shibani Dandekar has come out in full support of her friend.

For the past few months the nation has been talking about the life of Sushant Singh Rajput and the involvement of his current girlfriend Rhea in his apparent suicide.

While the verdict as to who is guilty is still up for debate, the Indian media and common people have branded her as the evil mastermind and the femme fatale behind this whole fiasco.

But not is all bleak for Rhea as certain sections of the industry backed by popular host Shibani Dandekar has started a crusade for her justice. #JusticeForRhea is trending on twitter and Instagram.

Openly criticising the media on the portrayal of her friend, Shibani is on warpath on her social media accounts. Calling out to patriarchy and the unjust system, Shibani has stated that this witch hunt wont stop unless we do something about it.

In regards to a post by former girlfriend of SSR, Ankita Lokhande, where she puts her full support to the family of the deceased and indirectly blames Rhea on orchestrating this whole situation,Shibani called her out for seeking 2 minutes of fame by targeting Rhea.

She also stated as plain as day that Sushant loved Rhea and all this is just to destroy centuries of work that took women to beat patriarchy.

In response to Shibani’s post a lot of other celebrities have come forward with their support for Rhea. Various artists tweeted their support by posting the image of a T-Shirt Rhea was seem wearing.

While Shibani’s post has been getting a lot of support, it also faces a lot of backlash from the television community.

Hina Khan and Vikas Gupta openly condemned her for minimising Ankita’s six years of journey on television and  equating it to 2 minutes of fame.

Hina Khan wrote on Twitter:

A person who has made it in two credible mediums all by herself.

a girl who rose from a scratch to become a TV Star n then shone brighter in films Absolutely doesn’t need ‘2 second fame’ @anky1912 here’s some love for ur grit n journey. Respect shud b equal in all quarters Period

Others hurled abuses at the host for being nothing but a gold digger and someone’s girlfriend.

Celebrities like Farhan Akhtar and Anurag Kashyap have also come out in support by tweeting in favour of Rhea Chakraborty.

Everybody baying for Rhea’s blood, asking questions like how did you know she didn’t do this or that to him?how do you what was he going through?are forgetting that the whole industry has actually known and seen and interacted with SSR over last 9-10 years. Yes we know better 1/2
