But this great Bollywood actor had his own fan moment in Berlin. Though there was a large chunk of people following him, he was a great fan of French actress Leslie Caron.
Leslie Caron starred in the 1951 movie āAn American in Paris’, and Shashi Kapoor was deeply in love with her. Her grace, acting, and dancing were indeed beautiful. In 1961, Shashi Kapoor and brother Shammi Kapoor were invited to the Berlin Film Festival. It was the fortune of Shashi Kapoor that Leslie Caron was also attending the Berlin Film Festival. On the ball night, Shashi Kapoor decided to dance with Leslie Caron by hook or crook.
He stood up and went up to Leslie Caron and told her that he was from India, that he was an actor, and that he was working in films. Ahead, he told her that he appreciated her movie, An American in Paris. He liked her style and said that he wanted to dance with her. This actor died on December 4, 2017 due to liver cirrhosis at the age of 79.
