Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt has recently made an official announcement on her social media about her upcoming film “Darlings”. Sharing a video, the actress announced that the film will be released on Netflix.
The much-anticipated film “Darlings’ has already wrapped up its shooting in September last year and now the film has been officially announced to be premiered on Netflix. Darlings is made under the banner of Shah Rukh Khan’s production Red Chillies Entertainment. It was announced on 1 March 2021 through social media platforms. However, Alia Bhatt along with the acting also produced the film with SRK’s wifey Gauri khan and Gaurav Verma. Darlings also marked her debut production venture.

Darlings was earlier slated to release theatrically but the makers later amended the plan and opted to release the film digitally. It was also being said that Netflix and Zee 5 are in the race to acquire the digital rights of the film. Now it has been confirmed by Netflix, that they recently launched an announcement video of the film, Darlings will premiere soon on the streaming platform. Though they haven’t announced the release date for the film yet.
Earlier, in a video shared, the film is touted to be centered around girls, the 40 seconds announcement video has a note written that, ” Auraton Ka Apamaan Aapki Sehat Ke Liye Bahut Haanikarak Ho Sakta Hai.”
The film stars Alia Bhatt in the main lead role as Savitri, The digital star national film awardee Delhi crime fame Shefali Shah will be playing Nishigandha along with her Malayalam actor Roshan Mathew will also be seen in pivotal roles.
On the work front, Alia Bhatt will next be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra Part one: Shiva and Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Roani Ki Prem Kahani, in which she will be starring alongside Ranbeer Kapoor and Ranveer Singh. While on the other hand actor Shahrukh Khan will be in Pathaan, Dunki, and others.
