We all know how the talented musician, American popstar, actress, producer, restaurateur and entrepreneur Selena Gomez is finally making her big comeback as an actor on the digital screens with her much awaited series Only Murders In The Building that would be releasing at 31st August on the renowned OTT streaming platform Hulu and she is making a comeback to acting after a long hiatus of 9 years ever since her last Disney show which was Wizards Of Waverly Place and in a recent interview, Selena gets candid about her childhood stardom with Disney.

Selena in a recent media interaction at the TCA Summer 2021 Tour opening up on the earliest and initial days of her Disney career said that Only Murders In The Building is very diverse and also differs from Wizards in a lot of ways which suits her now at this point in her life and career and explaining the same, Selena Gomez shares, “I signed my life away to Disney at a very young age and I didn’t know what I was doing. I didn’t know what I was doing. I was just running around on set”.

The much awaited crime dramedy series Only Murders is about a trio who are living in the New York city as tenants in the building where a mysterious death has taken place and in this, Selena plays a huge fan of true crime podcasts named Mabel in which comedy icons Steve Martin and Martin Short join her as the other two tenants and speaking about one of the important reasons of why she wanted to do this, Selena said, “What I’d say is the level of sophistication of the material is the first reason why I wanted to do this”.

Opening up on her experience of working with such an ensemble star cast, Selena shared, “They’ve been doing this longer than I’ve been alive and I would be so lucky to have a career that’s lasted that long”.

Lauding Selena for her performance in the series, Martin Short reveals, “Selena grounds everything in this dry, hilarious delivery. It was a dream to work with this brilliant young lady”.

Furthermore Steve Martin talking about Selena added, “the camera loves her”.
