Politician Nawab Malik has made serious allegations on NCB officer Sameer Wankhede who is investigating the drugs case and also arrested Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan. Nawab Malik initially accused Sameer of extorting money from Bollywood celebs in the Maldives. Malik then also questioned Sameer’s birth certificate as he posted a copy that lists his father’s name as Dawood Wankhede.
Sameer Wankhede’s wife Kranti Redkar has now confronted the media and denied all allegations against him. She said, “All the allegations against him are baseless. We have submitted all proofs, even when we didn’t need to. Because all the allegations against him are made on Twitter and not in court. We are not responsible to give an explanation, but still, we did. My father-in-law has submitted his birth certificate and the nation’s public is with him.”
Speaking on the allegations of extortion, she said, “If Sameer had to do extortion, he could have done it long ago. In today’s time, not many people have a spotless career like him. There are very few officers like him who work with honesty. I just want to say that let him do his work. People who are accusing him of extortion should also show some proof of it.”
Krati says that her husband is not afraid of the investigation. “Sameer has never been afraid of vigilance and it’s because he has always worked with honesty. The Government has honored him for his work multiple times. He is not afraid of any kind of investigation. If they want to investigate the extortion angle in the case, they must do. Sameer Wankhede will come out clean and clear,” says the wife of the officer.
She further added, “It is shameful how we have to show his documents to prove his religion. He is being targeted because he belongs to a lower caste and a small village. These people think that Sameer will be ashamed if they bring out his family background. But that won’t happen. Sameer is proud of his caste and his village. He also takes pride in the fact that his father is a Hindu and his mother is a Muslim. He is a secular man.”
In conclusion, she said, “It is a well-planned conspiracy. Maybe these druggies want Sameer to be removed from his position so that they can carry out their drug business in peace.”
