Salman Khan snatches mobile of a fan; NSUI wants him to be banned from Goa

Congress students ' wing, the National Students Union of India (NSUI), has requested Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to ban Salman Khan from entering Goa.

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan landed up in controversy again, on Tuesday after footage of him snatching a cell phone from the hands of a fan at Goa airport who wanted to click a selfie with the actor made the news. Congress student wing, the National Students ‘ Union of India (NSUI), has requested Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to ban Khan from entering Goa unless he publicly apologizes.

Goa BJP General Secretary and current MP Narendra Sawaikar also slammed Khan for his “disgraceful” conduct and demanded unconditional apologies. The incident took place when Khan, for an upcoming film in Goa, landed on Tuesday morning at Goa International Airport in Dabolim.

In the video, an official from India’s Airport Authority (AAI) could be seen walking alongside Khan near the departure gate and taking pictures with the actor walking in the backdrop The frustrated actor could be seen snatching his phone after a couple of seconds and heading towards an awaiting car.

The NSUI has demanded that the actor apologize profusely.”I request your kind authority to look into this matter with utter seriousness and demand an apology from the actor on public platform since it was a disgrace to the fan publicly, failing which such violent actors with a bad track record should not be allowed to visit Goa in the future,” President Ahraz Mulla of Goa NSUI went on to say in a letter to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.

Goa BJP General Secretary and former MP Narendra Sawaikar has slammed Khan for his “deplorable” conduct and demanded unconditional apologies. “Being a celebrity, people and your fans will take selfies in public places. Your attitude and behaviour is most deplorable. You have to tender an unconditional public apology @BeingSalmanKhan,” Sawaikar tweeted.

The incident was also confirmed by a senior official at the Goa airport and said airport staff has been cautioned toward taking selfies with VIP visitors.
