Sajid Nadiadwala is one of the renowned name in the Indian Film Industry. He has produced many superhit movies, like “Waqt Hamara Hai”, ” Heyy Babyy”, “Judwaa”, “Mujhse Shaadi Karogi” and very recent movies like “Satyaprem Ki Katha”, “Bawaal” etc. Sajid Nadiadwala turns 57 today on February 18. This talented fellow has a fascinating professional life as well as a personal life. Talking about his love life, he said that those were really colourful days of his life.
In an exclusive conversation with Lehren, he disclosed his loved life. He said that after 30 years of his age he became a domesticated man. “I am a very honest husband now”, he added. He has been in a healthy marriage with Wardha Khan for the last 23 years. Sajid was married to Wardha Khan in the year 2000. But before that, he had been engaged in two different relationships. In the year 1992, he was married to “Shola aur Shabnam” actress Divya Bharti. But unfortunately, she died by falling from the balcony of 5th flower, right after a year of their marriage. After a few years, he was almost engaged to Tabu. But their relationship also didn’t work. When he was asked whether he is still friendly with Tabu, he replied “Absolutely. It was not one of those 16-year-old breakups that we had a lot of fire between us.” He called their breakup understanding and mature. Further he continued saying, “We meet, we talk on phone and my wife is aware of it. I go to her house.” But even though things were sorted between them, he didn’t make any films with Tabu. He excused it, said that he was not making those kinds of films.
This producer and writer is really good at staying attached with people. He not only maintained friendly contact with Tabu, but he still has good relations with Divya Bharti’s parents. They are part of every occasion of Sajid. He recalled when Divya’s father once told in court that though they had lost their daughter, they had gained a son.
He also talked about his relation with Sajid Khan and Farah Khan. Getting Farah married was one of his dreams and he did supervise minor things at her wedding. He reflected on his controversial film “Jaan-E-Mann”. He is also known for launching fresh duos in the film industry, including Slaman Khan-Sunny Deol, Dharmendra- Govinda, Akshay Kumar-Suniel Shetty and many.
