Sachin Pilgaonkar Reveals He Has Still Not Got His Dream Role

Actor Sachin Pilgaonkar, who has been a part of several hit films, reveals that he hasn't been offered his dream role yet.

Sachin Pilgaonkar has been entertaining the audience since 1962. He was part of highly successful films like Geet Gaata Chal (1975), Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se (1978) and Nadiya Ke Paar (1982) as a lead actor. He has also acted, produced and directed successful comedy shows on Indian television, including Tu Tu Main Main (2000) and Kadvee Khatti Meethi. Despite pulling off a successful career over decades and playing a variety of roles, Sachin says that he has still not been offered his dream role.

Sachin Pilgaonkar and his wife Supriya Pilgaonkar recently attended the special screening of ‘Guilty Minds’, a web series of Amazon Prime Video, featuring their daughter Shriya Pilgaonkar.

While interacting with the media, Shriya said, “My father always told me that he wants to play a lawyer. So, when I was offered the role of a lawyer, I took it.”

Elaborating further, Sachin said, “I had the ambition to become a lawyer. If I wasn’t an actor, I would have been a lawyer. And therefore, I always wanted to play the role of a lawyer on-screen. But nobody has offered me the role of inspector or lawyer. I guess they don’t see me as a big actor.”

Sachin’s wife Supriya also nodded in agreement as she recalls her husband’s ambition.
