Rihanna's new song Lift Me Up is set to release on October 28 in advance of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which will hit the theatres on November 11.

Rihanna is finally making her long-awaited comeback! Fans are waiting to listen to Rihanna’s new song for a very long time and the singer is officially returning to music with Lift Me Up, the lead single on Marvel’s blockbuster sequel Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The upcoming song is reportedly a tribute to the life and legacy of Chadwick Boseman and was written by Tems, Ludwig Göransson, Rihanna and director Ryan Coogler.

Lift Me Up is set to release on Friday, October 28 in advance of the movie, which will hit the theatres on November 11. Rihanna briefly teased the song’s melodic hum on social media, but little else is known about the style and sound of Lift Me Up. For Marvel, collaborating with Rihanna, the official press release reveals that the song ‘ushers in the next era of Rihanna’s iconic career’ is another huge coup after snagging Kendrick Lamar and SZA to write ‘All The Stars’ for the original Black Panther.

The catchy track, which played over the film’s end credits, went on to score an Oscar nomination for original song, in addition to numerous Grammy nominations. However, the other details about the rest of the movie’s soundtrack will be available on November 4. Meanwhile, Rihanna has recently welcomed a baby boy with her boyfriend ASAP Rocky.

The singer also recently walked down the red carpet of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever with her beau. Talking about the sequel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has been helmed by Ryan Coogler. The upcoming sequel will follow the leaders of the kingdom of Wakanda, who will fight to protect their nation from invading forces in the wake of King T’Challa’s death.

Nyong’o, Angela Bassett, Winston Duke, Martin Freeman, Letitia Wright, Florence Kasumba and Gurira all reprise their roles from the first film. The cast of the Blank Panther sequel will also include Tenoch Huerta, Michaela Coel, and Mabel Cadena. Many of the main stars cast from 2018’s super hit movie Black Panther would be seen returning for the sequel.
