Here’s How R Ashwin and KL Rahul Are Prepping Themselves To Play Against Australia

Bowler R Ashwin and KL Rahul are prepping themselves in the nets to play against Australia later this month. Read below to know more.

Team India has arrived down under to play its first overseas season amid the on-going COVID-19 pandemic. After their arrival in Australia, the players have been asked to quarantine for a few days. They will also have to stay in the bio bubble to stay safe from the coronavirus infection. Now, the players are returning to the nets to practise before taking on the Aussies. Batsman KL Rahul and bowler R Ashwin are also prepping themselves to play against team Australia.

Earlier this month the Indian Premier League (IPL) concluded and we saw KL Rahul in his best form. KL Rahul alongside R Ashwin is prepping himself to play the bouncers bowled by the Australia team.

The Kangaroos have their best bowling line up ready to play against team India. They have Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc whose bowling is a nightmare to any batsmen. The bounce on the pitches down under is something the Men in Blue are gearing up for.

The official handle of BCCI shared a video of KL Rahul and R Ashwin in the nets. In the video, Rahul can be seen preparing himself for the short-pitch balls. Ashwin is being a helping hand and bowling him short-pitch deliveries.

Well, we hope that KL Rahul’s IPL form spills during India’s tour of Australia. With Rishabh Pant in the team, it will be interesting to see who will take on the duty behind the wicket.

For the unknown, India will lock horns with Australia in a three-match ODI series. Following the ODIs, there will be three-match T20I matches. Later India’s tour of Australia will conclude with four-match Test series.

The first ODI between team India and team Australia will take place on November 27, 2020. While the Men in Blue gear up for the shorter formats of the game, they remain concerned about the Test matches.

As skipper Virat Kohli has opted for paternity leave to be present for the arrival of his first child, team India will have an empty void. Indian skipper will not be available for the final three Test matches.

It will be interesting to see if Kohli’s absence will affect team India in anyways.
