PVR Breaks Silence On Salaar’s Withdrawal From Release, Says This!

Reacting to the reports about Salaar withdrawing their release from PVR INOX, PVR Pictures CEO Kam Gianchandani finally broke his silence on the matter.

Prashanth Neel’s film Salaar grabbed the headlines after the rumors went buzzing stating that the makers of the film have decided to withdraw their release from PVR INOX and Miraj theaters since the national screens have been favoring Shah Rukh Khan’s film, ‘Dunki’.

For the unversed, as per PTI, a Hombale Films spokesperson revealed that the national screens PVR INOX, and Miraj Cinemas had initially promised that both Dunki and Salaar would get equal shows in theatres. However, the promise wasn’t fulfilled, and they failed to keep their word as they allotted more screens and shows to Rajkumar Hirani’s film, Dunki.

Following the controversy PVR Pictures CEO Kam Gianchandani has finally shared his reaction. Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter) he wrote, “Normally, we try to keep Producers related matters to ourself. But this is one of those times for us to share our point of view. We have come across some absurd internet posts regarding unfair showcasing practices at PVRINOX.”

He added, “No one has greater respect and appreciation for all the Producers releasing their films in our theatres than all of us at PVRINOX. Commercial disagreements is par for the course with big films releasing on the same date. Not the first time. Won’t be the last time. Everything will fall in place soon. Please put these ridiculous theories to bed”.
