Obama Lists Out His Hand-Picked Favourite Films Of 2019!

Obama continues his annual tradition of revealing his favourite movies of the year as well as his favourite reads, music and TV Shows!

Before the most awaited Oscar nominations are officially announced, former President of the United States Barack Obama reveals his favorite Movies of the year 2019, while also sharing lists of his favorite books, music, and TV Shows of the same year.

Obama has always seemed to have an interest in pop-culture and has now made it an annual tradition to share his favorite movies, shows, reads, and music of the year on Twitter.

Obama tweeted “Next up are my favorite movies and TV shows of 2019. Of course, there’s also American Factory, a film from our own production company, Higher Ground that was recently shortlisted for an Oscar,” followed by a list of his hand-picked favourites that included the highly-commended documentary “Apollo 11” that had exclusive never-before-seen footage and audio recordings of NASA’s most celebrated Moon Landing mission, Martin Scorsese’s 3 and a half-hour long mafia film “The Irishman” and Greta Gerwig’s “Little Women”, a feminist take on the classic. The post-industrial documentary “American factory” about workers in a former General Motors plant made it to #1 on his list, which was, in fact, the first release by Barack and Michelle’s Higher Ground Productions.

The list included a few interesting choices like the German film “Transit” and indie film “Diane”. However, critically acclaimed films like Joaquin Phoneix’s “Joker” and Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood” didn’t seem to make the cut for the ex-president’s list.

Well, from the looks of it seems like Obama and family had an entertainment-filled year and Christmas and are all set for the New Year. To check out all the lists, head over to Obama’s Twitter!
