Raphael Coleman passes away suddenly while running on Thursday. Coleman was just 25 years old. Coleman rose to fame as Eric Brown from Nanny McPhee, in which Emma Thompson portrayed the role of Nanny McPhee..

“Rest in peace my beloved son Raphael Coleman, aka Iggy Fox. He died doing what he loved, working for the noblest cause of all. His family could not be prouder. Let’s celebrate all he achieved in his short life and cherish his legacy,” Coleman’s mother Liz Jensen wrote on Twitter.

Carsten Jensen, Raphael’s stepfather, revealed he collapsed while on a run before passing away. “He collapsed without prior health problems in the middle of a trip and could not be restored. I got to know Raph when he was six years old, and we were so close,” he revealed on Facebook.

Raphael worked with the Extinction Rebellion movement and Jensen went on to share an essay he had written for Extinction Rebellion titled “This is Why I Rebel.” The essay reads, “Knowing the science, I have no choice but to tell the truth, and stick to my morals in the face of that truth. I won’t stand by and watch the world burn.”

Jensen described his step-son in his Facebook post as an “old-wise, extremely literate” child that “loved to lecture adults with his always astonishing knowledge.”

“When I think of Raph, I see something that will never die, a blunt of eternity, a light beam that lives forever in young people,” he concluded.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Raphael’s family and friends during this difficult time.
