First Meet
The couple claims that it was kind of love at first sight and suddenly that sparks between these two developed. “We did the music video, we were together for like 12 hours,” Teigen told Wendy Williams in 2014. “We spent the entire day together, me in my underwear and him in a full suit, and I went to go say goodbye to him, to his hotel and we didn’t ever say goodbye that night.”
Teigen admitted to Cosmopolitan that after the shooting, the two went back to Legend’s hotel room, ate In-N-Out burgers and, well, “hooked up.” She was never secretive about their first evening events together.
First Break up
After meeting on the set, they kept their connection frequently by texting and talking on the phone, which is what ultimately got Legend really hooked. But without its challenges, there is no relationship that flourishes. Legend broke up with Teigen at one point …… for one day. “I was on tour with him and he’d gotten sick,” Teigen told Cosmopolitan in 2016.
Trip To Lake Como Together
Teigen shared an image of the pair in Lake Como, Italy, in 2016, a place that has a huge significance in their relationship as it is the site of their wedding. Additionally, it is there that they shot the famous music video of Legend “All of Me,” in which Teigen made a brief appearance.
First Appearance On Red Carpet As Couple
They used the Grammys of 2008 as a chance to make a splashy Hollywood debut. Teigen poked fun at her spray tan later in an Instagram throwback from the occasion.
Surprise Proposal Went Wrong
The entire surprise was nearly ruined by airport security. “[The ring] was in my carry-on bag going through airport security, and security wanted to look through my bag and they wanted to look in that particular box,” Legend later revealed on Oprah’s Next Chapter.
“And Chrissy was standing right next to me and I was, like, ‘Oh, my God. I’ve hid it so well this whole time. Now as we’re just about to get to the Maldives she’s going to find out I have a ring in this box and it’s going to ruin the surprise and I’ll have to get on my knees in the airport.’”

Finally Got Married
On September 14, 2013, they tied the knot in – you guessed it – Lake Como, Italy. Their wedding was characterized as “rustic-chic , elegant-but-not-too-glossy” by Legend to Martha Stewart Weddings, sharing that their venue location came from their past. “One of the first vacations we took together was to Lake Como, so we thought it would be nice to marry where we fell in love,” he said.
First Baby Luna Born In 2016 And Baby Boy Miles In 2018
In the spring of 2016, Teigen and Legend welcomed daughter Luna Simone Stephens with Teigen sharing the news immediately on Twitter with some of her trademark humor.
In the world’s most precious Instagram video, Baby Luna was given the duty to announce to the world that Legend and Teigen were expecting again. Teigen also shared her second child, a baby boy, which was conceived via IVF.
