According to a news reports, Grammy-winning artist Meghan Trainor’s father Gary Trainor was ‘crossing a busy street on foot in L.A. on Friday when the car hit him’.
After the shocking incident, the Like I’m Gonna Lose You singer’s rep confirmed to a news portal Trainor’s father’s condition is now ”stable.”
Meghan took to Instagram to share a picture with her dad alongside caption to reassure her fans that read, “I’m with my dad now. Thank you for all your sweet messages. It was all very scary but he is the strongest man I know .”
The 26-year-old Nice to Meet Ya singer also shared a series of her dad’s pictures on her Instagram story. Initially when the news of the car-accident broke out, it was reported as a ‘hit-and-run’, but a news portal later revealed the driver of the car ‘didn’t flee and told police he simply didn’t see Meghan’s dad’. It has been labeled as an accident by authorities, a news portal reports.
The All About That Bass singer is really close to her dad and even spoke about their father/daughter relationship in several interviews over the years.
“He’s my guy. He’s the one. I look up to him all the time. Everything I do, I’m inspired by him,” Meghan gushed during one such interview with a news portal.
She added: “Anytime I complain about anything, he’s like, ‘Life will get better if you let it.’ Sometimes in life you can’t control what happens—most of the time you can’t control what happens, but you can control how you look at it and how you can stay positive about it or find the good in it.”
