Meera Chopra Reveals Her Relationship With Cousin Sisters Priyanka Chopra & Parineeti Chopra: ‘Jab Koi Bohot Bada Hojata Hai Toh Baaki Log Chote Lagte Hai’

Meera Chopra, the second cousin of Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti Chopra, revealed her relationship with them and shared insights into their family dynamics.

Meera Chopra, known for her roles in both South Indian and Bollywood movies, recently addressed her relationship with Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti Chopra. While they are cousins, Meera revealed that they don’t share a close sisterly bond.

During an appearance on Siddharth Kannan’s YouTube show, she opened up about their family dynamics. “From the start, there was not much closeness between us,  that we would look like friends here. That would be fake. But I can say that when three or four girls join the industry, they help each other. That did not happen to me. I never asked for help and the help never came from them. I am not the one that asks for help and even they never offered any help.” Meera stated.

Reflecting on their childhood, she mentioned that Priyanka and Parineeti’s family used to live together under one roof, but things have changed over time. “Jab koi bohot bada hojata hai toh baaki log chote lagte hai. (When someone becomes too successful, others don’t seem too important),” she commented.

Meera also shared that she attended Priyanka and Nick Jonas’ wedding but clarified that she doesn’t share the same bond with Parineeti, as their families are not on speaking terms. “When families don’t talk, I don’t want to cross that which will hurt my family,” she said and added, “I am still very close to Priyanka’s family. I am trying to do a screening for Madhu chachi, because I really want to show her the film. They all wish very well for me. Priyanka has always been very generous, but the sisterhood is missing. But it is not missing from my side. She is a girl with golden heart.”

The actor is set to star in Sandeep Singh’s ‘Safed’, which will delve into the dark sides of widows and transgenders in society. Also starring Barkha Bisht and Abhay Verma, the film will release on Zee5 on December 29.
