Mammootty And Jyotika To Lead Jeo Baby’s Next Kaathal: The Core

Malayalam megastar Mammootty and Jyotika team up for their upcoming project titled Kaathal: The Core which will be directed by Jeo Baby

Malayalam megastar Mammootty has announced the title and released the first look of his upcoming project. He took to social media to announce the movie titled Kaathal: The Core. In the lead the film will also feature Jyotika who will make a return to Malayalam cinema. 

On the occasion of Jyotika’s birthday, the project was announced. The makers shared the first-look poster that shows an old photograph of Mammootty and Jyotika. It looks like an old vintage family picture with many scratches as it has been taken out from the 80’s treasure album. 

Sharing the poster on Twitter, Mammootty wrote, “Here’s unveiling the title of Mammootty Kampany’s next project Directed by Jeo Baby. Kaathal – The Core | @kaathalthecore Wishing a very happy birthday to Jyotika @MKampanyOffl @DQsWayfarerFilm”

Actor Suriya od Soorarai Pottru too shared the poster on his Twitter handle. He wrote, “From day one, this film’s idea & every step taken by Dir JeoBaby & team @MKampanyOffl is so good!! Wishing @mammukka , Jo n team the best for @kaathalthecore. Happy happy birthday Jo!!!”

The film titled Kaathal: The Core is directed by “The Great Indian Kitchen” filmmaker Jeo Baby. Kaathal is produced by Mammootty Kampany, with Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films distributing it. The script of the film is written by Adarsh Sukumaran and Paulson Skaria. The film also stars Lalu Alex, Muthumani, Chinnu Chandni, Sudhi Kozhikode, Anagha Akku, Josi Sijo and Adarsh Sukumaran. 

Kaathal: The Core marks Jyotika’s return to Malayalam films. In 2009 she made a debut with the TK Rajeev Kumar directorial Seetha Kalyanam. The actor has only been seen in dubbed versions of films like Rakkilippattu and Seetha Kalyanam in Malayalam. Hence, this will be her first original Malayalam film.
