Mallika Sherawat Expose Bollywood’s Ugly Side, Revealed Her Casting Couch Story

Mallika Sherawat made shocking revelations about being victim of casting couch when she refused to compromise

Every other day there is a new revelation about the film industry. Many times we get happy updates but very often we hear about the ugly side of Bollywood. Actress talk about being victims of the casting couch or the Mee Too movement. This time popular actress Mallika Sherawat became vocal about her bad days in the industry.

She made shocking revelations about her difficult days in the fancy entertainment world. She also revealed why she was rejected by a-lister actors from movies and how she lost many projects. Mallika Sherawat never failed to hesitate to expose the Bollywood double standards and Hypocrisy. During a recent interview, she spoke about casting couch and losing movies when she refused to compromise.

Mallika said, “All the A-lister heroes refused to work with me, because I wouldn’t compromise. It’s very simple — they like actresses who they can control and who will compromise with them. I am not that, my personality isn’t that. I didn’t want to subject myself to someone’s whims and fancies. Sit, stand, anything. If the hero calls you at 3am and says, ‘Come to my house’, you have to go, if you are in that circle and if you are doing that film. If you don’t go, then you are out of the film.”

She further added. “I should tell you that a section of the industry and media was mentally torturing me. These people only talked about my body and glamour, not my acting. I worked in Dashavataram, Pyaar Ke Side Effects, and Welcome but none talked about my acting.”

Speaking of her journey, she said: “I tried to do my best. I tried to find good roles. I made some mistakes like all of us do. Some roles were good, some not so good. It is part of an actor’s journey, but overall, it’s been fantastic.”

Mallika, who has done various bold roles in her career, is featured in the latest film RK/RKay. The movie also stars Rajat Kapoor, Kubbra Sait, and Ranvir Shorey, in the lead role. The comedy drama is directed by Rajat Kapoor and released on 22nd July 2022.
