Bawaal: Janhvi Kapoor’s Insensitive Dialogue Comparing Auschwitz’s Holocaust With Relationships, Lisa Ray Reacts

Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor starrer Bawaal was released on Friday, July 21, 2023, on Amazon Prime. The duo plays an on-screen couple in the romance film. Following the release, the film is trending on social media, and one of Janhvi’s dialogues has caught the attention of many. People are sharing their thoughts about the same and claiming that a dialogue has come across as incencitive. Actress and model Lisa Ray also reacted to it.

A Twitter user recently shared a dialogue from the film in which Janhvi, who played the role of Nisha, can be seen saying, Every relationship goes through their Auschwitz.

Since Auschwitz is known for the horrific genocide in which many people tragically lost their lives, this dialogue seems insensitive. Actress Lisa Ray reacted to this tweet, and she seems to be in disbelief. She wrote, “Noooooooo.”

Now people are also starting to comment, as they were also shocked. One wrote, “Anything that comes out of Bollywood these days is either controversial or just propaganda. What about cinema and the joy it brought into our lives? It used to be a fun experience going to watch a movie.” The second Tweeter user wrote, “Bollywood mostly makes shallow crap.
