‘Rohit Shetty’ is credited to be one of the most bankable directors and mega producers of the Hindi Film Industry. By delivering Blockbuster franchise films like ‘Golmaal Series’ and action-packed ‘Cop Universe’ movies the filmmaker has established himself as a ‘Brand’ in Bollywood. The- Cop Universe that includes star-studded creations like ‘Singham’, ‘Singham Returns’, ‘Simmba’ and ‘Sooryavanshi’ is all set be expanded with Singham Again; the 3rd installment of Ajay Devgn’s cop drama co-starring Deepika Padukone, slated to release on Independence Day 2024.
Shetty’s Sooryavanshi Superstar ‘Akshay Kumar’ will be seen portraying a classy cameo as ‘DCP Veer sooryavanshi’ in ‘Singham Again’ transforming the 3rd part into – powerhouse police saga with a magnum crossover of actors ever executed till date. Akshay’s ‘Sooryanvanshi’ starring the charismatic ‘Katirna Kaif’ was released in November 2021 which broke Bollywood’s Covid-19 Jinx at the box office by grossing over Rs. 200 crores. Recently the makers also unveiled a poster featuring Heropanti artist ‘Tiger Shroff’ as- ACP Satya; welcoming him as the latest entrant in the ‘Cop Universe’.
On the professional front, Rohit’s last release ‘Cirkus’ failed to do wonders in the movie markets garnering averagely mix views from the audiences, while Akki was last seen in the highly anticipated- ‘Mission Raniganj’; in turn being critically acclaimed with supreme performances but failed to mint good numbers and profits.
