Kate Middleton Apologizes For Not Looking Like Cinderella

Kate Middleton sweetly apologizes to a little girl for not looking like Cinderella in a ball gown and glass slippers from the fairytale.

Kate Middleton may be the real-life princess of the United Kingdom, but the title alone did not seem to impress a little girl, Annabel, who was keen on meeting a “real princess.”

The mother of the three-year-old girl revealed the sweet incident after she and her daughter met with the Duchess of Cambridge at Mumbles Pier in Swansea on Tuesday (Feb. 4).

“My daughter and I met Kate Middleton today at Mumbles pier, where we waited an hour to see her. My daughter loves fairy tales and Cinderella, and she was really excited to meet a real princess,” Rhian Costello (mother of the little girl) revealed to a news portal.

“My daughter and I were incredibly lucky since Kate came straight over to us,” Rhian shared.

Rhian further revealed her daughter Annabel wasn’t too thrilled about the Duchess’s outfit, which was far from what the lavish, over-the-top ball gowns fairytales depict. Instead, Middleton opted for a Hobbs London clean-cut navy coat with black gloves and paired it with black boots completing her classic look with a heart print scarf.

“I thought you’d look like Cinderella,” Annabel told Kate on meeting her.

“I’m really sorry I’m not wearing a pretty dress today,” Her Royal Highness reportedly told the toddler who expected to see her in a ball gown like Cinderella. Although Kate may not dress like a princess straight out of a fairytale, she does have the grace of a princess.

It doesn’t come as a shock that Kate knows just what to say to a child as she shares three kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis with husband Prince William.

On being asked by a fan if she and Prince William are planning on having more kids a news portal reported, “ Kate doesn’t think William wants any more [kids].”

Amidst the Megxit drama, the Duchess of Cambridge has gracefully been making public appearances. She and Prince William were recently seen at the BAFTAs where Brad Pitt, (during his acceptance speech for Best Supporting Actor for Once Upon A Time In Hollywood) through Margot Robbie made a joke about  Prince Harry and BREXIT but they took it in their stride.
