Bollywood’s self-proclaimed film critic, KRK aka Kamal Rashid Khan is known among the audience for his controversial statements and remarks on Bollywood films and the actors. While recently the actor was arrested by the Mumbai police for passing derogatory remarks against Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan in a controversial tweet in 2020.
Kamal R Khan Arrested For His Controversial Tweet
Bollywood actor and self-proclaimed critic Kamal R Khan who apparently resides in Dubai was arrested by the police soon after he landed at the Mumbai airport. KRK has already been facing multiple FIR in many cases. Earlier the actor was booked for passing derogatory remarks against late actors Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor.
The police have been seeking to arrest the actor for two years now, while soon after he landed at the Mumbai airport he got arrested by the police it is reported that he will soon appear before the Borivali Court. The FIR against KRK was registered based on a complaint by Yuva Sena’s core committee member Rahul Kanal for passing derogatory tweets.
Apparently, on April 30, 2020, KRK took to his Twitter to announce the hospitalization of actor Rishi Kapoor and wrote that the actor must not die as wine shops were set to open soon. Apart from Rishi he also took a jibe at Irrfan Khan just a day before his death and said, “Irrfan Khan excesses with his producers and does not behave in a manner with them. He took money from the producers, but did not complete the shooting of many films.”
Regarding the FIR an official told PTI, “We have registered an FIR against Kamal R Khan for making derogatory remarks about both the deceased actors under section 294 (punishment for obscene acts or words in public) and other provisions of the IPC,”.
When Salman Khan Reported Kamal R Khan
For the unversed, last year in June the Bollywood Dabangg Khan also filed an application in the court against the actor Kamal R Khan for making defamatory remarks. Soon after which a defamation suit was filed against KRK which stated to restrain him from putting out videos or any other content related to the superstar’s projects and films.
Irrfan Khan And Rishi Kapoor’s Death
The entertainment industry mourned on the deaths of two legendary stars who left for heavenly abode just a day apart. Irrfan Khan took his last breath on April 29, after battling with cancer for 2-year, whereas, Rishi Kapoor died on April 30, after struggling with leukemia for 2 years.
