After a long wait, Priyadarshan’s much-awaited comedy film ‘Hungama 2’ finally released this Friday. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the film was released on the OTT platform Disney+Hotstar. There was a lot of buzz about the film ever since it was announced. Firstly, because it is directed by Priyadarshan who has delivered Bollywood’s best comedy films like Hera Pheri, Hungama, Chup Chup Ke and Hulchul and has returned to direction after 8 years. Secondly, because it marks Shilpa Shetty’s comeback to Bollywood after 14 years.

By looking at the reviews on social media and IMDb, it seems that the film has disappointed the audience. Hungama 2 IMDb rating is 3.7 out of 10 as of now. And the rating seems to be falling more as we write. There’s only a limited lot of people who have enjoyed the film.

Hungama 2 stars Shilpa Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Meezaan Jaffrey and Pranitha Subhash in lead roles. The supporting cast includes Rajpal Yadav, Tiku Talsania, Ashutosh Rana, Johny Lever and Manoj Joshi. The film also has a cameo of Akshaye Khanna who played the lead in the 2003 film Hungama.
