The Charlie’s Angels actress Drew Barrymore was asked in an interview about Hugh Grant who called her a horrible singer and she gave a sarcastic yet funny response.
Drew Barrymore shows Hugh Grant what her voice can do after he jokingly described her singing as “terrible”. During a WIRED interview posted on Monday, in which he answers “the internet’s most searched questions,” the ‘Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves’ actor was asked, “Does Hugh Grant really sing in music and lyrics?” He replied yes, but that it’s “automatically incredibly tuned. Actually that’s not true. I’m a bit self-adjusting, but not as much as some.”

Laughing, the actor went on to say that Barrymore, who starred alongside him in the 2007 romantic comedy, wouldn’t mind if he said in the film “her singing is just awful”.
The Marc Lawrence-directed film follows former music superstar Alex Fletcher (Grant) who is given a chance to return to his career when he is asked to write a song for a young singer Cora Corman (Haley Bennett). The only problem is that he can’t write lyrics, so he teams up with Sophie Fisher (Barrymore), a younger woman with a talent for words, to help write a song.

Grant, which recently went viral on the red carpet after an awkward Oscars interview with Ashley Graham, didn’t stop there. “I’ve heard that dogs bark better than she sings,” he added jokingly.
After interviewing WIRED, the Charlie’s Angels actress smiled on Instagram Thursday to share a clip of her singing “Way Back Into Love” from Music and Lyrics titled “#SingForHughGrant JOIN ME.” After flashing her voice, she turns to Grant and says, “Oh, Hugh, Bert, Hubert, this is for you.”
