Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik’s daughter turn two. And in celebration of Khai’s second birthday, Gigi took to her Instagram Stories to share a photo of the little one’s special cake featuring adorable edible animals. The colourful creation from Carlo’s Bakery included Peppa Pig characters made out of fondant and icing.
The celebration seemed to be a family affair, as she tagged Khai’s father and her ex Zayn Malik in the snapshot. Previously, on Father’s Day 2022, Gigi shared a rare photo on her Instagram Stories of the daddy-daughter duo. While neither of their faces is shown, Zayn, who the supermodel sweetly calls Khai’s baba, is seen sitting on the floor and colouring with the toddler.
However, Gigi, who recently sparked romance rumours with Leonardo DiCaprio, previously spoke about keeping her baby girl out of the spotlight, vowing to give her the most “normal” upbringing she can. While she and Zayn have made it point to protect their daughter’s privacy, Gigi did recently gush about Khai’s milestones. In the latest interview, Hadid shared, “I think she’s a genius. But I think that’s what everyone says about their kid.”
She added, “It’s so much fun. The more that she talks, understands, and remembers, it just gets more and more fun. And she’s a blessing.” The supermodel and the former One Direction member, who had been together on and off since late 2015, welcomed their first child together in September 2020. While the two ended their relationship in the fall of 2021, the two remain committed co-parents. However, news of their latest breakup went public last October amid Zayn’s explosive dispute with Gigi’s reality star mother Yolanda Hadid.
Zayn and Yolanda allegedly had a fight in September, and though he denied claims he was physically violent, he pled no contest to four harassment charges. He cannot have any contact with Yolanda or the security guard who saw the incident and must complete an anger management course and 360 days probation. The altercation reportedly started when Yolanda entered Gigi and Zayn’s Pennsylvania home without Zayn’s permission while Gigi was in Paris for work.
