Recently many reports surfaced claiming that Hema Malini’s daughter Esha Deol and her husband Bharat Takhtani have been facing issues in their marriage and the couple is heading for a divorce. Days after those speculations, Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani, on February 7, officially announced that they were parting ways after 11 years of marriage.
Esha Deol-Bharat Takhtani Announces Separation
In a joint statement both Esha and Bharat officially announced their separation and talked about co-parenting their kids, the statement read, “We have mutually and amicably decided to part ways. Through this shift in our lives, the best interests and welfare of our two children is and will be of utmost importance to us. We would appreciate that our privacy is respected throughout.”
For the unversed, recently the rumors about the couple’s separation surfaced after a Reddit post about the couple getting a divorce went viral. The post revealed that Isha had been appearing at events without her husband’s company. The rumors were further fueled after Esha attended Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan’s reception without her husband.
Esha Deol-Bharat Takhtani Marriage
Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani tied the knot back in June 2012. Talking about how they first met Isha told India Today, “We met at the inter-school competition called Cascade, which my school hosted. I wrote my phone number on a piece of tissue and gave it to him. Back then I had braces. So, I always say he truly loved me with braces on. He found me cute.”
The couple are parents to their two daughters Radhya and Miraya. They welcomed their first child five years after their marriage in 2017, and their second child in 2019.
