Drake Apologized After Calling Kylie Jenner His ‘Side-Piece’ In An Undisclosed Song

Drake teased with rapper Future some unreleased music, and he gave an unexpected shoutout to Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid on the track.

Drake’s relationship status has been driving the gossip mill for months with Kylie Jenner, 22. The rapper now has a teaser of an unreleased song that refers to the Kardashian’s youngest one as “a side piece.”

The Toronto native took to Instagram Live on May 20 to preview his new music collaborated with rapper Future, and on the track, Drake obviously fueled the fire regarding reports that the two were dating following her divorce from Travis Scott in Oct. 2019.

“Yeah, I’m a hater to society / Real s**t, Kylie Jenner that’s a side piece / Yeah, I got 20 motherf***in’ Kylies,” he rapped.

He also mentioned Kylie’s big sis Kendall in the song, and supermodel Gigi Hadid, who is currently pregnant with a baby from Zayn Malik.“Yeah, I got 20 damn Kendalls / Young slim baddies and they in vogue / Yeah, I got 20 f***in’ Gigis.”   

Well no sooner than Drake apologized after referring to Kylie Jenner as his “side-piece” in an unreleased song on a live Instagram hosted on Wednesday by the account of the Night Owl Voice.

Drake released a written apology on his Instagram story on Thursday, saying he had no intention of playing the song.

“It’s a song that leaked three years ago and got scrapped shortly after,” he wrote.

The rapper added, “Last thing I’d want to do is wake up having any friends of mine feeling disrespected so I just had to say that to start off the day.”

After listening to the track and reading his apology, some people were upset at how Drake talked about Kylie, who was about 19 when the rapper said the song was leaked initially.

Fans were shocked that after the musicians worked closely together on “Sicko Mode,” Drake would rap about Scott’s ex. Many assumed a feud between the artists might well arise.

This track is not Drake’s first time writing about the makeup mogul. The 33-year-old included a playful reference to Kylie’s billionaire net worth on the song “Demons” when he released his Dark Lane Demo Tapes on May 1.

“My TD Bank is on what? (What?) / My TD Bank is on Kylie (Ayy, ayy),” Drake sang in the first verse. For the unversed  The Toronto-based rapper was rapping about the Toronto-Dominion Bank so, he said his bank account is in the same league as Kylie ‘s wealth.

Well before the coronavirus outbreak, the couple was in the spotlight for romance speculation. Mixed reports had been published about whether Drake and Kylie were just friends or something more after Kylie’s split from Travis Scott in Oct. 2019. However both Drake and Kylie are single right now.
