DJ Snake is finally coming to India! DJ Snake aka William Grigahcine has always said that India would be one of the first countries he’ll return to perform in once things back to normal and the French EDM artist kept his promise. DJ Snake recently took to his Instagram to announce the schedule for his tour.
The artist announced a six-city tour as part of the concert series Sunburn Arena, starting November 18th in Ahmedabad and ending on November 27th in Bengaluru. The hitmaker will also perform in Delhi NCR on November 19th, in Hyderabad on November 20th, in Pune on November 25th and in Mumbai on November 26th. Tickets for the concert will go live on 22nd August 2022 at 12 pm, with prices starting from ₹999 upwards.
However, the artist is no stranger to India as he previously toured India multiple times. DJ Snake last performed in India at the end of 2019 at Sunburn’s annual festival edition in Goa. Meanwhile, DJ Snake also took on an Indian collaboration during the pandemic, remixing the Tamil song ‘Enjoy Enjaami’ (by Dhee, Arivu and Santhosh Narayanan) for Spotify Singles.
According to Rolling Stone India, DJ Snake said in a statement, “I am excited to be coming back to India. When I visited India during Holi 2019 and Sunburn Goa 2019, the energy and vibe were so upbeat and positive everywhere. It is always amazing to travel to different cities in India. The cultural exposure inspires my music and India certainly tops in that area.”
In a previous interview with Rolling Stone India in 2021, DJ Snake gushed about his visits to the country saying, “My Indian fans are super crazy and I love them. During this pandemic, they never stopped showing love on social media. There is a powerful connection between us and I don’t know, it’s hard to explain, but it’s magic. And it’s real. I feel the love and I think they feel it’s real, it’s organic, and I just can’t wait to be back.”
