Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes weren’t able to put their past behind them while giving their relationship a second chance. They initially struck up a relationship in 2019 but called it quits, and even though they were spotted together at Coachella in April and at Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras’ concert last month, recent reports have claimed that even though they gave things a try, a lot of their old issues started to resurface. They’re both staying busy and doing their own things.
The insider told Entertainment Tonight that Shawn and Camila broke up and are no longer seeing each other. They gave things a try, but ultimately the timing isn’t right for either of them. The “Senorita” collaborators couldn’t put their past aside while giving their love another opportunity. After spending so much time together, a lot of their old issues started to resurface. They’re both staying busy and doing their own things.”
The second insider said that Cabello and the Canadian native were at first excited at the possibility” of reconciling. It was incredibly sentimental, and all the first-date sensations that they experienced for one another came gushing back. However, after a few months, they realised why they had initially broken up, the insider claims.
The singers realised they’re better friends than romantic partners. Although there is no hatred between them, their relationship has just reached its conclusion.
