Bollywood Glamour At Jio MAMI Film Festival

Apart from Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor caught everyone's attention with her black gown with pink sleeves, heels, tied hair and nude makeup. Kareena's upcoming film, 'The Buckingham Murders', directed by Hansal Mehta and produced by Ektaa Kapoor was the opening film at the festival.

After Priyanka’s appearance at Jio MAMI Film Festival, many Bollywood celebrities marked their presence at Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, BKC for the MAMI Film Festival. The red carpet was embellished with gorgeous and stunning looks of celebrities like Kareena Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Karishma Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Kamal Hasan, Aditi Rao Hydari, Siddharth, Ali Fazal, Bhumi Pednekar and many more.

Saif and Karishma entered the red carpet together with their coordinated looks in white, while Ali Fazal in a peach coloured suit and Richa Chadha in a white silk shirt and a long printed shimmery skirt, also marked their presence together. Sonam Kapoor’s look for the night, made fans fall for her as she wore a black velvet gown with a net border below the knee and a glossy pearl necklace. Rajkummar Rao, Utkarsh Sharma, Sunny Leone and Tara Sutaria also attended the festival. Tara had more like a traditional look with a modern touch. She wore a heavy designer blouse, skirt and a cape jacket with a completely matching purse. Her messy bun and long earrings best suited her look.

Along with this, there will be 40 World Premieres, 45 Asian Premieres and more than 70 South Asian Premieres from 27th October till 5th November.

As per the aim of this festival, it is meant to provide a better platform to encourage South Asian cinema. This year’s festival has recorded more than 1000 submissions for the South Asian programme.

Not only will this festival be featuring films, but it will also honour some prominent faces in the film industry for their excellent performances.
