Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has been creating quite some buzz since its trailer launch today. Actors Kiara Advani, Kartik Aaryan, and Rajpal Yadav were seen along with director Anees Bazmee, Bhushan Kumar, and Murad Khetani at the trailer launch event held in Mumbai.
Anees Bazmee’s Statement On Not Casting Akshay Kumar In Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2:
During the trailer launch, film director, Anees Bazmee was asked why he chose not to bring the popular cast of Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan in the sequel. To which he replied, “Akshay is a great actor and a great friend. Vidya is a great actor and did very well (in Bhool Bhulaiyaa). But the script didn’t give us the liberty to bring them on board.”
Adding further, he said, “We didn’t want to bring the two onboard without any purpose. This story did not permit us to bring them.”
The director was later asked if there was a specific reason for choosing Kartik Aaryan. In response, the filmmaker said, “When I first saw his film, I called Kartik, as when I like someone’s acting in their film I usually praise them for their performance. So I saw his film and I liked his work. So when we were talking about the film casting with Murad and Bhushan our first choice for the film was Kartik if he does it, it would be good as he is naughty and funny, so I thought he was apt for the role”.

Director Anees Bazmee also mentioned the difficulties faced during the project, as it took 3 years to complete the film. On mentioning the success of the previous film Bhool Bhulaiyaa the director opened up about Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 saying that the previous part of the film has been very successful and there is always the tension to match the standards set. The problem is that sequel shouldn’t be exactly like the film but it should have a touch of it so it is a very thin line that has to be taken care of. While he also mentioned the writers Farhad Ramji and Akash Kaushik putting their hard work as the narrators and the author for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.
