Popular Marathi actor Amey Wagh is playing a pivotal role in Alt Balaji’s latest web series ‘Cartel’. The crime thriller features stars Supriya Pathak, Rithvik Dhanjani, Pranati Rai Prakash, Tanuj Virwani, Divya Agarwal amongst others.
In the latest interview, Amey Wagh talked about his role in Cartel. He said, “It is a big show and has a stellar cast. I am very excited about the release of Cartel. Also, the show is based on a Marathi family, so I am more excited. I am playing the role of Dhaval Jadhav, an environmental activist. He is very keen on protecting the environment, but slowly, he gets tempted to join politics. You’ll see how my character progresses to achieve what he wants! Will he remain pure or turn into a grey character, that you will find out after watching the show.”

When asked what made him sign this project, Amey told, “When I read the script, my mind was blown. It has action, drama, emotions and everything the audience would like to watch. The moment I read the script and found out that it is Ekta Kapoor’s dream project, I immediately said yes.”
On being asked about the preparations, “There was no major preparations I had to do. Sometimes, you just have to surrender to the director and the work is done. I just stayed in the zone, stuck to the script and obeyed what my director said.”
Cartel started streaming on Alt Balaji on August 20.
