Alia Bhatt-Ranbir Kapoor Finally Reveals Their Daughter’s Name

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor's daughter's name is finally revealed. Grandmother Neetu Kapoor has chosen the name for her granddaughter.

Bollywood actors Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor recently embraced parenthood after the two were blessed with their firstborn daughter on November 6. And ever since then the fans of the couple have been waiting for them to reveal the name of their daughter. Well the wait is over, as on Thursday actress Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram account to share the name of her daughter which is selected by her grandmother Neetu Kapoor.

On Thursday, Brahmastra actress Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram and shared a pic with her daughter and husband Ranbir Singh. Sharing the picture the actress finally revealed her daughter’s name and wrote, “The name Raha (chosen by her wise and wonderful Dadi) has so many beautiful meanings… Raha, in its purest form means divine path in Swahili she is Joy, In Sanskrit, Raha is a clan, In Bangla – rest, comfort, relief, in Arabic peace, it also means happiness, freedom & bliss. And true to her name, from the first moment we held her – we felt it ALL! Thank you Raha, for bringing our family to life, it feels as though our lives have only just begun,”

Reacting to the post Ranbir Kapoor’s sister Kareena Kapoor Khan and many other celebrities from the industry shared their reactions. Kareena Kapoor commented, “Raha Kapoor can I hold you can’t wait”, Priyanka Chopra Jonas commented, “God bless Raha”, and Singham actress Kajal Aggarwal commented, “God bless beautiful Raha lots of love!”. On the other hand, B-town’s new mom Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, and actor Ranveer Singh showered heart emoji’s in the comments section.

Recently Alia Bhatt also opened up about bringing her daughter into the public eye. In an interview with Marie Claire, Alia said “I am a little concerned about bringing up a child in the public eye. I talk about it with my friends, with my family, and my husband a lot. I don’t want there to be a, sort of, intrusion into my child’s life. Because at the end of the day, I have chosen this path, but maybe my child may not want to choose this path when he or she grows up…so that’s something that I feel very protective about.”
