Sourav Ganguly Birthday Special: Sachin Tendulkar & Virat Kohli Lead The Way For Wishes

Wishes have poured in for Sourav Ganguly from the cricket fraternity and fans as the BCCI President turns 48. Read below to know more.

The former India skipper Sourav Ganguly turned 48 years old today (July 8) and wishes have been pouring in for the star cricketer. Sourav Ganguly’s former teammates- Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman among others took to Twitter to wish him. Team India’s current skipper Virat Kohli too wished Ganguly on his birthday.

Sachin Tendulkar wished Sourav Ganguly by penning down a heartfelt note, he wrote, “Happy Birthday Dadi! Hope our-off field partnership keeps going strong like our on-field ones. Wish you a blessed year ahead.”

Virat Kohli shared an amazing picture alongside Sourav Ganguly to wish him on his birthday. He captioned the picture, “Happy birthday Dada. God bless you.”

Team India’s former fiery batsman Virender Sehwag also wished his former skipper on his 48th birthday by sharing a throwback picture. He accompanied the picture with a note that reads, “Dada ko Janamdin ki bahut badhai. The only time he blinked his eye was when dancing down the track while hitting spinners for a 6, varna never. Eternally grateful for his support in initial days. #HappyBirthdayDada”

Team India’s former spinner Harbhajan Singh also wished Ganguly on his birthday by tweeting, “Happy birthday dada @SGanguly99 wish you the best going forward..”

Team India’s former all-rounder Yuvraj Singh also took to his Twitter handle to wish Ganguly. He posted a video alongside a note that praised Ganguly for being an amazing leader. Yuvi tweeted, “Happy Birthday to the undisputed Dada of Indian Cricket..You have always led from the front, showing us what it means to be a true leader. I have learnt a lot from you & hope to become to others what you are to me. You are our eternal captain @SGanguly99 #HappyBirthdayDada”

VVS Laxman in his tweet for Sourav Ganguly on his birthday wrote, “Many more happy returns of the day @SGanguly99 may you taste ever more success and receive more and more love. Have a great day and a year ahead.”

Among many former players wishing Sourav Ganguly, former India batsman Mohammad Kaif also tweeted to wish the birthday boy. Kaif praised Ganguly and called him his mentor. Kaif’s tweet read, “From a fine batsman to an outstanding captain and now leading Indian cricket on the whole- here’s wishing my favourite captain and mentor @SGanguly99 a very happy birthday. But FAULADI SEENA dikha ke raise kaun chadta hai, Dada.”
