Siddhant Chaturvedi Breaks Silence On Ananya Getting Trolled For His “Nepotism” Remark 

KoffeeWithKaran7: Gehraiyaan actor, Siddhant Chaturvedi recently made his debut on Karan Johar’s very popular yet controversial chat show, Koffee With Karan season 7. During the episode, the Gully Boy actor was seen opening up on his famous-infamous round table talk on “nepotism” and how Ananya Panday got trolled for it afterward.

Siddhant On Ananya Getting Trolled For His “Nepotism” Remark 

Gehraiyaan actor Siddhant Chaturvedi recently appeared on Karan Johar’s very popular chat show, Koffee With Karan with his Phone Bhoot co-stars Katrina Kaif and Ishaan Khatter. During the episode, the actor opened up on his very famous and controversial round table talk on “nepotism”, he further claimed that he didn’t want to harm anyone and that it was his part of the truth.

Karan Johar asks Siddhant about his round table talk on nepotism due to which the Liger actress Ananya Panday was later brutally trolled, he said, “Sid, you know your statement on that round table about nepotism with Ananya, your comment came from a really strong place in your heart. She got the bitter end, what was your feeling right after that?”

To this Siddhant gave a very straightforward answer and said, “I mean there was no intention to kind of harm anybody or cause any kind of hurt. I thought it was just my truth and I will always speak my truth because I mean yes, you know it’s been a bit difficult. It’s always the journey that is harder but I embrace it, I really love where I come from. But that’s my truth and everybody has their own truth and that was the line about struggle. They have their own struggle of acceptance. It takes a while. That’s my observation, that was my truth. But having said that, it’s a talk that will keep going on-Nepotism. We just can’t keep complaining about it.”

Siddhant Chaturvedi Talks About Nepotism During A Round Table Interview

For the uninitiated, in the year 2020, Gully Boy actor Siddhant Chaturvedi gained a lot of attention from the netizens after the actor took a very sharp dig at nepotism and the struggle of the star kids in the industry. While Ananya shared her part of the struggle saying that despite being the daughter of Chunky Panday she had to go through a lot of struggles to claim her spot in the industry. Taking a dig at her statement Siddhant said, “Jahaan humaare sapne poore hote hai, waha inke struggle shuru hote hai.”(Where our dreams end, their struggle starts from there).

Meanwhile, on the work front, Siddhant was earlier seen with Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone in the film Gehraiyaan, he will soon be seen with Katrina Kaif and Ishaan Khatter in Phone Bhoot while he also has Zoya Akhtar’s film “Kho Gaye Hum Khahan”.
