Talking about her on-screen character ‘Rashmi’ who opts for a live-in relationship in 'Luka Chuppi', Kriti shares about her mother’s disagreement, if she ever had to do it in real life.

We all saw Kriti’s character ‘Rashmi’ in “Luka Chuppi”, where she decides to share a live-in relationship with Karthik Aaryan in the hilarious film. The actress, mentioning the same feels like she has no apprehensions about it, and could even consider it in real life. But promptly changed her answer saying how her mother won’t be too happy about it.

“There is nothing wrong with it. But, agar aap mujhe puchoge, (toh) nahi, mere parents I don’t think (manenge) Meri mom bahut bindaas behave karti hai…bolegi haan toh kya hogaya…but when I have to or when I will…she will ask me what is the need. So I don’t feel the need. But tomorrow if I am in a relationship, and I have to test it before marriage because marriage is an important decision, then you never know (No, I don’t think my mom will be cool with it, but you never know),” Kriti said.

After her debut with “Heropanti”, Kriti, who shares a very great bond with her parents, shared how they were terrified about her decision to join Bollywood.

“When I told them that I wanted to act, they agreed. They believed in me and they wanted me to follow my heart, but they were protective and scared like most middle-class parents,” she said.

“We know that acting is not like a regular nine to five job. So, they were concerned. But they never stopped me,” she says. The actor says that only because of her parents’ support she has been able to do what she always wanted to do. “People often face pressure (from their family) and they have to give up what they want to do. But my parents stood by me. They get super thrilled every time Heropanti or Dilwale comes on TV,” she further said.

When asked if she is okay with her partner lying to her in a relationship she mentioned,

“Jhoot bolker toh nahi but I’m the kind of person who believes in the good. Jhoot toh sab baad Mein pata chalta hai. But I am naive that way, I believe that if I’m not lying, the other person is also not lying to me, which is not the case.”

After the super success of Mimi, Kriti will soon be seen in Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan-starrer “Adipurush” and Tiger Shroff’s “Ganapath”. She also has “Bhediya” with Varun Dhawan, “Shehzada” with Kartik, and “Bachchan Pandey” with Akshay Kumar.
