American Director Daniel Kwan Says Working In Wrong Country After Watching RRR

The newest person to praise the masterpiece RRR is none other than Hollywood director Daniel Kwan

SS Rajamouli’s RRR starring Ram Charan and Jr. NTR has garnered enormous popularity not just in India but also globally. The extravaganza action film has received word of praise from audiences and celebrities around the world. The newest person to praise the masterpiece RRR is none other than Hollywood director Daniel Kwan. 

Everything Everywhere All at Once director Daniel Kwan has has said word of praise for SS Rajamouli’s RRR. After watching the magnum opus Kwan felt he is working in the wrong country. The Asian American filmmaker took to his Twitter account to share his experience of watching the phenomena Rajamouli has created. 

Daniel tweeted, “After a busy year of work and travelling I’ve finally checked a couple things off my list 1) finished my taxes (I know the irony) and 2) watched RRR. HOLY COW ya’ll weren’t kidding. Anytime I watch an Indian action film I feel like I’m working in the wrong country.”

He also added, “What really struck me is, while a lot of the blockbusters we’re making in the states tend to have self aware, cheeky characters trapped in self-serious filmmaking, RRR was all heart-on-its-sleeve sincerity wrapped up in the most ridiculous over the top execution. So much to love.”

RRR crossed 1200 crores at the worldwide box office during its theatrical run. The film was later re-released across several US cities as part of the Beyond Fest. Helmed by SS Rajamouli the film is all set to release in Japan. For the same lead cast, Ram Charan and Jr. NTR are off to Japan. 

RRR is a fictional tale of two revolutionaries and their fight against British colonialists. The movie is a period drama set in the backdrop of the 1920s. The action film also portrays friendship and their strong bond and love. The role of revolutionaries is played by Ram Charan and Jr. NTR.

Apart from these two megastars of Tamil, the film also includes Bollywood superstars Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt. Directed by Rajamouli RRR was created at a budget of 550 crores. DVV Danayya of DVV Entertainment bankrolled and the script was written by Vijayendra Prasad.
