‘Nobody Is Competition For Me’: Bhanupriya Explains Why She Didn’t Like Her Role In ‘Khudgarz’ (1987)

Bhanupriya made a tremendous debut in the Telugu film industry with the National award-winning film ‘Sitaara’, which was released in 1984. After starring in several successful films in the South, she made her debut in the Hindi film industry with the multi-starrer film ‘Dosti Dushmani’, released in 1986. The film featured stars such as Jeetendra, Rishi Kapoor, and Rajinikanth. During the shooting of Dosti Dushmani, Bhanupriya signed another multi-starrer film, Khudgarz, starring alongside Jeetendra once again but in which she had a very small role. In a flashback interview with Lehren, Bhanupriya explained why she took on the role in Khudgarz despite its limited scope, which was a risky attempt for her at the start of Bollywood career.
