Taj Mahal: An Eternal Love Story is a Hindi film released in the year 2005. This historical drama stars Kabir Bedi, Manisha Koirala, Arbaaz Khan, Pooja Batra, and others in pivotal roles.
It was considered the most expensive film of that time. Costing Rs 500 million, this film surpassed the budget of the 2002 Hindi film Devdas. However, it was a financial failure at the Indian box office as it earned Rs 210 million. It was also released in Pakistan and did fairly well. The film earned Rs 311 million worldwide, thus suffering losses.
This film was the last work of renowned musician Naushad Ali who gave the music for the film. He passed away in May 2006.
