21 October marks the birth anniversary of legendary actor Shammi Kapoor. He made his debut in 1953 and delivered some remarkable films like “Tumsa Nahi Dekha”, “Professor”, “Kashmir Ki Kali”, “Teesri Manzil” and “Junglee”. He married Geeta Bali at a young age but lost her to smallpox a few years later. Shammi had a brief affair with gorgeous actress Mumtaz. While shooting for the 1968 film “Brahmachari”, the duo fell in love but it didn’t last long. Decades later, in the early 2000s, Shammi opened up about his affair with Mumtaz during a candid interview with us. He admitted having a fling which later turned into a “nightmare”.
