Upasana Kamineni is an entrepreneur. She is the vice-chairman of Apollo Charity and Chief Editor of B Positive magazine. She is the daughter of Shobana Kamineni, the executive vice-chairperson of Apollo Hospitals. Prathap C. Reddy, the founder of Apollo Hospitals is the grandfather of Ram Charan’s wife.

Ram Charan and Upasana Kamineni have been married for 10 years. However, the couple has decided not to have a child. Hindustan Times quoted Upasana telling spiritual guru Sadhguru, “I have been very happily married for 10 years now. I love my life, I love my family but why do people find it their duty to question my RRR. RRR is my relationship, my ability to reproduce, and my role in my life. There are so many women like me who would want an answer to this.”
Sadhguru appreciated her decision and said, “If you stay this way, not reproducing, I am going to give you an award. I have already announced an award for all those young women, who are healthy and can reproduce but choose not to. This is the greatest service you can do right now.”
He added, “Human is not an endangered species. We are just too many. We are heading towards 10 billion in the next 30-35 years. Man is worried about carbon footprint but if the human footprint is reduced, there is no need to worry about global warming too. So, it’s good to see women who chose to not reproduce.”

Ram Charan, the son of superstar Chiranjeevi, is currently heaping praise for his performance in RRR. Recently, acclaimed Hollywood director-writer Aaron Stewart Ahn said on Twitter, “Would love to write a movie for a movie star like Ram Charan, just to work with such a great actor and cinematic presence. But if he works in international productions he must be the lead! Hollywood usually doesn’t get that. I’m here for more great Indian movies.”
Ram Charan’s next film is RC15 which will release in 2023.
