Stampede Case: Allu Arjun Gets Interim Bail; Victim’s Husband Offers To Withdraw Complaint

Allu Arjun gets interim bail in a stampede case that claimed a life. Victim’s husband has a surprising statement.

After a sudden arrested, Telugu icon star Allu Arjun now gets interim bail from the Telangana High Court in connection with the tragic stampede at Sandhya Theatre during the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule. The incident, which occurred on December 4, claimed the life of Revathi and left her 9-year-old son critically injured. The Court observed that Arjun could not be held responsible as he had attended the event with prior permission and the letter from the management of Sandhya Theatre given to the police is now going viral on the internet which proves everything.

Justice Juvvadi Sridevi emphasized that Arjun’s role did not directly contribute to the stampede. The Court questioned whether he could be detained simply because he is an actor, adding that he has the same rights as any citizen. Arjun was granted four weeks of interim bail after furnishing a personal bond of ₹50,000.

The police had earlier claimed that they were not informed about the actor’s presence, leading to inadequate crowd management. However, Arjun’s counsel presented evidence that prior intimation was given to authorities.

In a dramatic turn, Revathi’s husband, M Bhaskar, stated his willingness to withdraw the case. “I am ready to withdraw the case. My son wanted to watch the film, so we went there. Allu Arjun has nothing to do with the stampede that caused my wife’s death,” he told the media.

Following the incident, Allu Arjun extended financial aid of ₹25 lakh to Revathi’s family and promised to cover medical expenses for her son. He expressed his condolences and assured the family of his support once normalcy is restored.

While Arjun has been granted interim relief, the investigation is ongoing. The Court directed him to cooperate and refrain from influencing witnesses. The tragic incident has raised questions about event safety and crowd management in public spaces.
