SSMB28 Affected After Telugu Film Producers Guild Withhold Shootings

Mahesh Babu’s SSMB28 will be affected after ATFPG announced to halt shooting from 1st August

The Hyderabad-based Active Telugu Film Producers Guild (ATPG) withholds shooting from August 1, 2022. This means that the filming of Telugu movies will be halted The ATFPG released a statement 2 days back announcing that they will voluntarily stop shooting films. With this amendment, Mahesh Babu’s SSMB28 will be the first film to be affected. SSMB28 marks a reunion of Mahesh Babu and Trivikram after 11 years.

If this gets implemented, many filmmakers will be forced to postpone the shooting they had planned to commence in August. Amongst many other Telugu movies SSMB28 shooting will be impacted. It is superstar Mahesh Babu and director Trivikram’s new film.

In the past three years, this has been Trivikram’s first film. When he wanted to start filming soon he faced some or other problem that became a hurdle in his shooting plans. Every time he thought to start shooting it was stalled due to some reason. Now from the second week of August, the makers were finally supposed to kickstart the shoot but the Guild enforced a new law that holds the shooting of all Telugu movies.

Telugu Film Producers Guild has decided to hold shooting until a solution is found. The reason behind taking this step is revenue situations and increasing costs. According to the statement: “Post-Pandemic with the changing revenue situations and increasing costs, it is becoming important for producers to discuss all the issues we are facing as a community of filmmakers.”

SSMB28 is an action drama film starring Mahesh Babu, Pooja Hegde, and Samyuktha Menon in prominent roles. It is directed by Trivikram Srinivas and bankrolled by S Radha Krishna under Haarika & Hassine Creations banner.
