Just a few hours ago, Rajamouli’s historical epic RRR bagged Best International Feature Film and Best Song award at 28th Critics Choice Award. But there is another reason why the prolific filmmaker is feeling ‘on top of the world’. At the award ceremony Ramamouli got an opportunity to meet and speak with Hollywood’s most iconic filmmaker James Cameron.
The Avatar director told him that he liked RRR so much that he recommended the film to his wife Suzy and watched it again with her. Rajamouli took to Twitter and shared a couple of pictures with the iconic filmmaker and his wife. In the second picture, Rajamouli can be seen holding Cameron’s hand while they are busy conversing.
Along with sharing pictures, he also wrote “The great James Cameron watched RRR.. He liked it so much that he recommended to his wife Suzy and watched it again with her.”
He further added, “Sir I still cannot believe you spent a whole 10 minutes with us analyzing our movie. As you said I AM ON TOP OF THE WORLD… Thank you both.”
M.M. Keeravaani, who also bagged the ‘Best Song’ award, met the filmmaker and shared about it on Twitter. “The great James Cameron has watched RRR twice and gave feedback on my score !!! Ocean full of excitement,” he wrote.
This is not the first time, RRR director felt overwhelmed after meeting an iconic Hollywood director. Just last week, Rajamouli shared his fanboy moment with another iconic Hollywood filmmaker Steven Spielberg.
Meanwhile, Rajamouli and the RRR team is busy in promotional campaigns of RRR as the team has sent nominations to the 95th Academy Awards in various categories including Best actor, Best Visual Effects, Best Music, and more.
