Samatha Prabhu’s Shankuntalam Postponed Again

Samantha Ruth Prabhu starrer Shaakuntalam's makers have released a new update on the film.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s upcoming film Shaakuntalam has been rescheduled. The film was postponed to be released this month on February 17. However, the makers of the film shared a new update about the film that Shaakuntalam got postponed and a new release date will be shared very soon. Now Samantha’s fans will have to wait a little more.

Shaakuntalam makers took to Twitter and shared a statement to share that the film will not be released on 17th February. “We REGRET TO INFORM OUR BELOVED AUDIENCE THAT WE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO RELEASE SHAAKUNTALAM THIS 17TH OF FEBRUARY, WE WOULD BE ANNOUNCING THE RELEASE DATE SOON. THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT AND LOVE.” The post was shared with the caption, “The theatrical release of #Shaakuntalam stands postponed. The new release date will be announced soon.”

The official trailer of the film was released last month and received a good response fo the audience. The much-awaited mythological movie is helmed by Gunasekar. Recently, the lyrics of the third song, Yelelo Yelelo, were released on Thursday, and they capture the different story of the pregnant woman. Along with Samantha Prabhu, Mohan Babu, Sachin Khedekar, Ananya Nagalla, Aditi Balan, Gautami, and Varshini Sounderajan will also perform notable roles in the film. Allu Arjun’s daughter Allu Arha also marks her debut with the film.

Talking about Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s work front, she has started shooting for her upcoming Bollywood movie Citadel India, along with Varun Dhawan. Her next film Khushi, which was halted due to Samantha’s health ussued had resumed recently.
