Samanta Ruth Prabhu attended the 3D trailer launch event in Mumbai on Thursday. To address the Hindi-speaking journalists, the Telugu actress was seen speaking in Hindi. In her sweet voice, she said in Hindi, “Namaste! Shaakuntalam trailer ko aapne jaise support kiya hai aur jo pyaar diya hai, uske liye bahut bahut shukriya. 14th april ko hmaari film release hone vaali hai and mujhe umeed hai ki aap isi tarah mujhe aur shaakuntalam ki team ko apna support denge aur is film ko sirf theatres me jaake dekhenge. (The way you have supported Shaakuntalam trailer and the love you have given it, thank you so much for that. Our film is releasing on 14th April. I hope that you will support me and the team of Shaakuntalam and I hope that you’ll watch this film only in theatres).
Shaakuntalam is a Telugu historical drama film. It features Samantha in the titular role of Shakuntala and Malayalam actor Dev Mohan as Dushyanta. The film’s dubbed versions will also release in Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam.
