Samantha Ruth Prabhu Reacts To Reports Of Getting Rs 250 Cr Alimony

Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who ended her marriage with Naga Chaitanya in 2021, has now reacted to reports which suggest that she received alimony of Rs 250 crore.

Telugu sensation Samantha Ruth Prabhu made her debut on Koffee With Karan this year. The actress made an appearance with Bollywood’s most bankable star Akshay Kumar. The episode was fun, quirky and also had some intense moments as Samantha opened up about her divorce for the first time. She not only admitted to having hard feelings for her ex-husband Naga Chaitanya but also addressed the reports of her receiving a whopping amount as alimony.

On the show, host Karan Johar asked Samantha about the worst rumour that she heard about herself, to which she replied with a joke saying, “Should I start alphabetically?”

She then said, “That I took 250 crores in alimony. Every morning I woke up waiting for income tax officials to show them there’s nothing. First they made up the story about alimony. Then they realised it doesn’t seem like a believable story. Then they said there’s a prenup, so she can’t ask for alimony.”

When Karan Johar asked if there are any hard feelings between both, Samantha said, “You mean if you put us both in a room, you’d have to hide sharp objects? Yes, as of now.”

Samantha began dating Naga Chaitanya in 2010 after they worked together in her debut film ‘Ye Maaya Chesave’. After dating for a long time, they got married in October 2017 as per Hindu and Christian customs. The couple shocked everyone when they announced their separation on 2nd October 2021 via a social media post. Samantha immediately dropped the ‘Akkineni’ surname that she had started using after marriage.

Samantha made her OTT debut in 2021 with the popular web series ‘The Family Man 2’, co-starring Manoj Bajpayee. She also became a nationwide sensation with her item song ‘Oo Anatava’.
