Ram Charan-Chiranjeevi Pays 20cr To Investors To Compensate Acharya Losses

Ram Charan and Chiranjeevi compensate for the loss of their film Acharya' from their own pocket paying a hefty amount of 20cr rupees.

Acharya: Telugu film ‘Acharya’ which starred South industry biggies like Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan fell flat at the box office breaching a total of Rs 76 crore in the domestic market. Meanwhile, as per the reports, the leads of the film Ram Charan and Chiranjeevi have now compensated for the loss of the film from their own pocket paying a hefty amount of 20cr rupees.

As per the reports, a group of exhibitors who apparently lost their money as they invested in the South film ‘Acharya’ which turned out to become a flop has recently demanded the director compensate for their loss. The exhibitors revealed that Koratala Siva himself took the film from the producers and sold it to the buyers.

According to the reports, a distributor named Rajgopal Bajaj wrote to Chiranjeevi, asking for compensation for the damages incurred by their film Acharya. The distributor named Rajgopal Bajaj has apparently invested a large sum of money in the film because of the buzz around Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan’s partnership on the big screen.

Meanwhile, according to the trade reports, the film was made on a reported budget of Rs 140 crore. However, the film went as a major flop grossing over Rs 76 crore at the box office worldwide. The film is now counted as the all-time biggest disaster in Telugu cinema. The film starred Ram Charan, Pooja Hegde, Sonu Sood, Jisshu Sengupta, Kishore, Saurav Lokesh, Nassar, Ajay, Tanikella Bharani, Vennela Kishore, and others in pivotal roles. The technical crew of Acharya includes Mani Sharma for music, S Thirunavukarasu for cinematography, and Navin Nooli for editing.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Ram Charan is now working on the much-awaited films, RC15 and RC 16. On the other hand, his father and South superstar Chiranjeevi is presently filming his next film, GodFather which is a Telugu adaptation of the Malayalam blockbuster Lucifer. As per the reports, Bollywood actor Salman Khan will appear in a cameo role, and Nayanthara will play the female lead in the film.
